QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma or Certification in Culinary Arts, Pastry Making or any related certificate
With at least 3 years working experience in the same role
In depth knowledge of sanitation principles and food preparation
Working knowledge of baking with ingredient limitations (pastries that are gluten free, sugarless etc.)
Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features, and promotions
Good communication skills
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes
Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers
Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting
Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget
Support Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in the daily operation and work
Prepare the daily mis-en-place and food production in different sections of the main kitchen or satellites
Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate Superiors to complete the daily tasks
Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes, and preparation techniques
Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage, and cost control
