JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Responsible for procuring the best quality goods and services at the most competitive rate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement best in class procurement policies and procedures.
Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies,
Negotiate competitive agreements, obtaining best terms for company purchases,
Optimize and maintain strong supplier / vendors relationships,
Seek and partner with reliable vendor’s suppliers,
Track and report key internal functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness,
Identify and execute cost saving opportunities,
Develop supplier performance metrics, oversee tracking, evaluate results, and work with suppliers to improve their performance,
Review and audit invoices for accuracy,
Stay informed on market conditions affecting costs and product availability,
Perform cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking,
Participate in contract negotiation as needed,
Prepare bid awards requiring board approval,
Perform other duties as required.
