About the role:
To analyse, evaluate and report on financial matters for the school and advice to improve on the financial health
Key Responsibilities:
Budgeting and Monitoring
Assist in the budget preparation, budget forecasts, and closure of accounts processes
Financial Transactions
Ensure checks and balances by verifying receipts with actual bank deposits
Assist with accounts receivable
Track and facilitate professional development and housing payments to staff
Maintaining oversight of school bank account(s) and cash flow and ensuring monthly reconciliations are carried out
Utility Bills payment process
Vendor Management & Invoice Process
Management of the accounts payable
Vendor reconciliations
Verification of purchase orders
Payroll
Regular payroll and budget monitoring, financial control
Payroll preparation and final settlements for the separating employees
Compliances
Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process
Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
Financial Bookkeeping of Records and files
Other Responsibilities
Assist day to day accounting functions at school as required
