Job Title: Storekeeper
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Storekeeper. The Storekeeper will be responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and issuance of materials and maintaining an organized and well-managed inventory system.
Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect incoming materials, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Efficiently organize and store materials in designated locations.
Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems or manual logs.
Monitor stock levels and reorder materials as needed to prevent shortages.
Coordinate with purchasing and other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Prepare and pack materials for shipment, ensuring proper doentation.
Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies and identify obsolete stock.
Keep the storage area clean, well-organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar role.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (if applicable).
Knowledge of inventory management software is a plus.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy items.
