Qualifications & Experience:
•Maste's degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred.
•Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, or equivalent.
•Minimum of 10 years of experience in similar field.
Skill Sets:
•Proven experience in managing Windows Server environments.
•Extensive knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and file server management.
•Experience with backup and recovery solutions, specifically Veritas Backup Exec.
•Strong understanding of network security principles and firewall management (Sophos XG preferred).
•Experience with Exchange Server administration.
•Familiarity with network switching and security configurations.
•Experience with endpoint protection software (Kaspersky preferred).
•Knowledge of file auditing tools (Netwrix preferred).
•Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
Windows Server Administration:
•Manage Active Directory (AD) users, groups, policies, and shared folders.
•Implement Group Policies to enforce standards and security best practices.
•Maintain file server systems, ensuring file storage is secure, accessible, and efficient.
•Manage shared folders and ensure proper permissions are set based on user roles and groups.
•Monitor and audit user activity on file servers using Netwrix File Auditor.
•Provide support for troubleshooting user login, permission, and access issues related to Active Directory.
Backup and Recovery (Veritas Backup Exec):
•Set up and configure backup schedules, policies, and data protection.
•Perform regular backups of critical data, including systems and applications, using full, incremental, and differential backup methods.
•Configure and manage storage devices used for backups, such as tape drives and disk drives.
•Monitor the status of backup jobs to ensure they are completed successfully.
•Troubleshoot connectivity issues from the drive to the autoloader tape drive.
Network Security (Sophos XG Firewall):
•Set up and configure firewall rules for internet access.
•Monitor security logs on the firewall dashboard.
•Configure Sophos SD-WAN setup to enable internet access through a 5G router.
•Configure STAS on the Windows server to integrate with the Sophos XG firewall for authentication.
•Configure NATting rules for browsing.
•Configure policies to block IP addresses and domain names.
•Configure policies to block social network sites.
Email System (Exchange Server):
•Maintain the on-premise Exchange server environment.
•Create and manage user mailboxes and storage.
•Configure and maintain mail flow, transport rules, and policies at the organization and individual levels.
•Conduct regular maintenance of the Exchange server and apply patches as needed.
Network Management:
•Install and configure network switches.
•Configure certificates on network switches.
•Configure security settings to comply with standards.
Endpoint Protection (Kaspersky):
•Install and configure the Endpoint Security console.
•Create policies for servers and client computers.
•Update software and virus definitions in the security console.
•Manage endpoint protection on all clients in the network.
File Auditing (Netwrix File Auditor):
•Configure the Netwrix application to audit file access permissions on the server.
•Configure network folders for monitoring.
•Enable notifications and manage alerts.
•Extract permission sets on folders and files.
