Under the supervision of the Asst. Manager - Account Payables, the position provides
assistance for the direction of APS in terms of its tactical, strategic and operational
management. Assists in the administration of accounts payable and financial control related
management, in accordance with the accounting and auditing practices, the Generally
Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and, the International Financial Reporting Standards
(IFRS). The position likewise delivers account payables s management services excellence and
compliance to internal and external clients.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
o Accounts payable management, accounting and auditing rules and regulations, IAS and
GAAP
o Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
o Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
Job Description:
o Administers the day-to-day operation of APS.
o Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
o Supporting the seni accountant and wider finance team.
o Reconciling the company's bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
o Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
o Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company.
o Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
o Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information
confidential.
o Implement and updates accounts payable accounting and auditing transaction-system software
to widely support the financial-control-management-function of FD.
o Administers the receiving, recording, verification and confirmation of authenticity of
accounts payable invoice-receipts from internal and external clients; double
checks invoices to avoid double entries.
o Other related duties as required
