Duties & Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions for assigned
properties
• Review invoices and other doentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with
company policies
• Process accounts payable and receivable in a timely and efficient manner
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts every month
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for assigned properties
• Assist with the preparation and coordination of audits
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
(GAAP)
• Adhere to internal controls and procedures when processing financial transactions
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems
• Assist with special projects as needed
• Train and mentor junior staff members
• Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills
• Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software
• Real estate accounting experience preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
• CPA or MBA
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance
• Experience with Yard or other property management software
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Ability to work independently and with a team
