We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to be part of our group, with extensive experience in general trading, financial service activities and gold bullion accounting. The ideal candidate will oversee the financial transactions and reporting for our general trading, financial services, and gold bullion operations. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and supporting the strategic financial goals of the group.
Key Responsibilities
1. General Trading Operations
• Handle all financial aspects of general trading operations, including preparing quotations, invoices, and associated doentation.
• Record and manage general trading transactions in the accounting system.
• Prepare periodic financial reports and statements for the general trading segment, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making.
2. Financial Services Operations
• Oversee and manage the accounting for financial service activity of the group.
• Record and manage financial service transactions in the accounting system.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls for all financial operations.
3. Gold Bullion Operations
• Manage and oversee accounting for gold bullion transactions, including purchases, sales, and inventory management.
• Maintain and update robust accounting system to accurately record bullion transactions and investments.
• Reconcile bullion-related accounts, ensuring precision and timely reporting.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and reconciliations specific to bullion trading and investments
Additional Responsibilities
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure compliance.
• Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns, Corporate Income Tax returns and other reports requested by the Authority.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in accounting and financial management.
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management based on data-driven analysis.
• Stay updated on local and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry trends.

Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred).
• Proven experience in general trading operations, financial services and gold bullion
accounting, ideally within the UAE or GCC region.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS).
• Knowledge and understanding of the VAT and Corporate Tax in the UAE
• Experience in accounting software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
