Job Description

The Accounts Specialist is responsible for maintaining and managing financial records, processing transactions, and providing financial analysis and reporting. This role ensures accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and company policies while supporting the financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
Transaction Processing:

Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.
Manage payroll processing, including calculating wages, benefits, and deductions.
Financial Reporting:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
Compliance and Auditing:

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary doentation and explanations.
Monitor and address discrepancies or irregularities in financial records.
Financial Analysis:

Analyze financial performance and trends to identify areas for improvement.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
Track and report on financial key performance indicators (KPIs).
Accounts Management:

Manage vendor and client relationships, including resolving payment and billing issues.
Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable and payable.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Administrative Support:

Handle general administrative tasks related to accounting and finance.
Maintain organized and confidential financial doentation.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred.
Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP), and excellent communication skills.
