Autocad Operator / Switchgear Draftsman
Responsibilities / Job Description:
Draft electrical schematics using AutoCAD.
Draft overall system layo line drawings using AutoCAD.
Generate AutoCAD drawings of three line and wiring drawings of switchgear per Engineer’s instruction.
Follow specific instructions by engineers & other duties assigned by Management.
Communications with engineers on electrical design & follow established standards
Work closely with engineering and production team members to ensure accurate, efficient and timely execution of required work and drive tasked work to completion.
CAD proficiency.
Experience with drawing electrical diagrams using CAD software. Knowledge of industrial control systems is a plus.
Excellent organizational and communication skills are a must.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
EDUCATION:
· Associate Degree in Electrical engineering / Drafting + 2 Years of Electrical drafting Work experience or bachelor degree.
· Majority of the time the employee has to work on computer.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes required to go on floor (Production Team) and work with engineering

Desired Skills & Experience
Must have a strong working knowledge of the following: • Medium Voltage Switchgear and Starters • Motor Control Centers • Submain Distribution Boards • Power Distribution Experience & Requirements: • 2 years and above of experience of Electrical drafting Work • Bachelors of Science preferred • Knowledge of drafting techniques and familiarity with ELECTRICAL engineering terminology • Efficient and accurate drafting with adherence to CAD standards • High level of proficiency in AutoCAD • Excellent time management and an extremely high level of attention to detail • Effective written, verbal communication skills. • AutoCAD and Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel ) proficiency required
