We are seeking an experienced Automotive Electrician to join our team of skilled professionals. Roles and Responsibilities:
As an Automotive Electrician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in primarily German vehicles. Your role is critical in ensuring our customers' vehicles are safe and in optimal working condition. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Electrical Diagnosis: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and troubleshoot electrical issues in German cars, including wiring problems, sensor malfunctions, and electronic control units (ECUs).
2. Repairs and Maintenance: Perform electrical repairs and maintenance tasks, such as repairing or replacing faulty wiring, switches, relays, and sensors. Ensure that all electrical components meet manufacturer specifications.
3. Computer Diagnostics: Use specialized diagnostic software to read and interpret fault codes from vehicle control modules. Accurately diagnose complex electrical problems.
4. Customization: Assist customers in customizing their vehicles by installing aftermarket electrical components, including entertainment systems, security systems, and lighting upgrades.
5. Safety Compliance: Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations and standards. Perform thorough inspections and testing to guarantee the safety of the vehicle's electrical systems.
6. Doentation: Maintain detailed records of all electrical repairs, replacements, and installations. Doent diagnostic findings and recommended solutions for customers and colleagues.
7. Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks to verify the effectiveness of electrical repairs and ensure that all systems function correctly.
8. Training and Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive electrical technology and trends. Share knowledge and expertise with junior technicians and apprentices.
9. Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers to explain electrical issues, repair options, and estimated costs. Provide excellent customer service and build trust with clients.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an Automotive Electrician in the GCC region, with a strong preference for experience with German cars.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Skills such as performing electrical maintenance on vehicles and equipment, troubleshooting and repairing equipment failure, diagnosing and replacing parts on vehicles and equipment, and checking battery condition, starter performance, and alternator charging conditions.
- Familiarity with German car manufacturers' specifications and repair guidelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to test-drive vehicles for diagnostic purposes.
- A commitment to safety and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in automotive electrical repair or a related field.
- Experience working with high-end German car brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, or Porsche.
- Familiarity with factory service manuals and technical doentation.
