• Receive and greet customers, discuss and understand their parts requirements, guide them on the best options available and assist them in taking well informed purchasing decisions
• Create additional sales opportunities by promoting sales of related parts to the customer
• Identify the correct parts required from the parts catalogues by assessing the type of vehicle and its use
• Prepare quotations for parts required by customer. In case stock is unavailable on premises or initiate procurement request
• Establish healthy and profitable relationships by proactively communicating and following up with the existing as well as prospective customers on parts requirements in order to convert pending quotations and in to confirmed sales
• Incase of unavailability of parts, register the lost sales and depending upon the seriousness of the enquiry raise requests to the purchase department for maintaining stock
• Promote sale of accessories with all customers to increase sal of the business
• Ensure all necessary documentation has been maintained in the process to enable minimum errors and ensure that the service is delivered to the customer on time
• Ensure condition of vehicle is thoroughly checked and discrepancies noted and communicated to customer while receiving the vehicle; and record any customer requests.
• Ensure proper delivery of the vehicle to the customer and clearly communicate to the customer the jobs carried out.
• Qualify and confirm customer complaints and provide advice about vehicle repair, repair duration and warranty
• Ensure effective personal and telephonic communication with customers regarding charges, approvals and negotiations.
• Provide estimates of simple repairs to customer and negotiate repair charges (and service charges, if required)
• Manage and monitor Work in progress to ensure timely delivery of the vehicle to customer.
• Ensure customer is reminded about the next service due.
• Miscellaneous Customer Service duties as and when required i.e. invoice generations, contact maintenance etc.
• Work closely with all the internal departments to ensure resolution of all work tasks.
• Lists customer concerns, and clearly describe them on the repair order.
• Estimate costs and completion times at point of sale. Clearly communicate them to customer.
• Assign job to technicians based on skill level and current utilization.
• Occasionally assist technicians when there is a question regarding work to be performed.
• Review work-in-progress to ensure quality and timeless.
• Perform cashier functions as needed. Provide thorough explanation of repairs to customers.
• Follow procedures for quick and efficient handling of warranty items, including tagging and proper storage of these items.
