Job Description

Job Title: Baker
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and creative Baker to join our bakery team. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing a wide range of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts. The ideal candidate should have a passion for baking, attention to detail, and the ability to follow recipes and production schedules. Your expertise in creating healthy, delicious and visually appealing baked goods will be crucial in maintaining the high standards of our bakery and delighting our customers.


Candidate Requirements

Responsibilities:
1.Baking Preparation: Measure and mix ingredients to prepare doughs, batters, and fillings according to established recipes and production guidelines.
2.Oven Operation: Monitor and adjust oven temperatures to ensure proper baking of various products, including bread, cookies and cakes..
3.Pastry Creation: Skillfully prepare and shape various pastries, croissants, danishes, and other sweet treats with attention to detail and presentation.
4.Bread Production: Prepare and mold dough for different types of bread, rolls, and baguettes. Monitor proofing and baking times to achieve the desired texture and appearance.
5.Cake Decorating: Decorate cakes and desserts with frosting, icing, and toppings, showcasing creativity and precision in cake designs.
6.Quality Control: Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and appearance. Discard any items that do not meet our bakery's standards.
7.Inventory Management: Assist in managing ingredient inventory, ensuring all necessary items are stocked for daily production.
8.Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized baking area, following proper sanitation and hygiene practices.
9.Recipe Development: Collaborate with the bakery team to develop new recipes and improve existing ones to enhance our product offerings.
10.Specialty Orders: Fulfill special customer orders and requests for personalized cakes, pastries, or dietary-specific baked goods.
11.Food Safety: Adhere to food safety and health regulations, maintaining a safe and hygienic baking environment.
12.Team Collaboration: Coordinate with other bakers, pastry chefs, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient production and seamless operations.

Qualifications and Requirements:
•Proven work experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef, or similar role is preferred, but not mandatory. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
•Solid knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
•Creativity in designing and decorating baked goods, especially cakes and pastries.
•Ability to follow recipes accurately and work with precision to achieve consistent results.
•Strong time management and organizational skills to meet production schedules and deadlines.
•Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy bags of ingredients, and perform repetitive tasks.
•Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations in a bakery setting.
•A passion for baking and a genuine interest in keeping up with industry trends and new baking techniques.
•Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as baking schedules may require.
•Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
