Position Summary:
The bartender plays a pivotal role in providing exceptional customer service and creating a vibrant atmosphere within the establishment. They are responsible for preparing and serving beverages to patrons while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences.
Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and taking orders promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including equipment, glassware, and utensils.
Monitor alcohol consumption of patrons and ensure responsible service by adhering to legal drinking age and intoxication regulations.
Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and electronic transactions.
Maintain inventory levels of bar supplies and ingredients, placing orders as needed to ensure sufficient stock.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders and ensure timely service.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of food and beverages and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
Stay informed about current beverage trends and new products, making recommendations to enhance the menu offerings.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner, striving to resolve issues promptly and to the satisfaction of the customer.
Qualifications:
Proven experience working as a bartender or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse clientele.
Strong knowledge of various types of alcoholic beverages, cocktails, and mixology techniques.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, particularly during peak hours.
Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing beverages and processing orders.
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
