Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will lead a team of Welders & Boilermakers, to perform Boiler repair jobs onboard marine vessels & industrial sites.
You will have full accountability of executing Boiler Repair projects including (but not limited to):
Quality of project deliverables.
Safety of your team and the work site,
Meeting project deadlines.
Performing projects within the allotted budget.
Ensuring customer satisfaction
Coordinate with the back office, the customer, and the vessel agents.
Prepare a daily status report, an inspection report, and an estimation report for the project.
Coordinate with sales office and provide input as needed.
Prepare and maintain project doentation, such as a timesheet for the team, a daily work report, a work completion report, etc.
Work on pre-project matters such as visa coordination, letter of intent, travel plans, etc.
Prepare the check list and verify the availability of tools and machinery for the assigned repair job.
Assure that all QC doentation is in place for each project, such as WPS, welder records, material certifications, etc.
Assist the sales and order handling teams with closing the projects with the necessary doentation.
Candidates are expected to have knowledge on below topics:
Knowledge of Boilers (Construction, Operation and Maintenance)
Knowledge of welding procedures and standards
Knowledge of MS Office and general computer literacy
Proficiency in English Language (Written & Spoken)
The suitable candidate for this position should be a highly versatile and flexible individual, who understands and is willing to work under below conditions:
Boiler repair supervis are required to travel extensively outside of their base of operations. It is expected that the travel days (outside base of operations) will be approximately 300Days /year.
The project location may be anywhere in the world, in any city, in any port, or in any yard.
Most boiler repair projects performed by Global Boilers are onboard marine vesse.
A boiler is installed at an engine room with a very hot environment, which may be as high as 40 degrees Celsius.
It is common for marine boilers to be compact in size, restricted in access, and confined in space, as well as being dirty due to soot and other debris.
Adapt to the different time zones of the countries in which the project will be executed.
Will have to deal with tight deadlines and highly demanding customers & quality inspectors.
