•Implement the approved policies & processes of the Finance Department and comply with the Company’s other policies throughout all daily activities.
•Identify and monitor cost and expenditures of produc provided & obtained against the approved budget and continuously find opportunities to control cost across all business processes & operations.
•Control the Company’s stores and Warehouse in terms of wastage, pilferage and efficiency through regularly performing thorough variance analysis on cost deviations.
•Assist in identifying financial opportunities (i.e. cost savings initiatives) and implementing actions, by providing timely and meaningful information to assist in decision making process.
•Review cost commitment and expenditure information for all cost elements, for input to the cost control and reporting system on a consistent basis and ensuring that all information received is accurate and correctly input.
•Continuously study weaknesses in controls implemented at the stores and outlets of the Company and suggest improvements to the Direct Manager.
•Ensure that Procurement Officers in the Procurement Department are obtaining up-to-date and accurate prices compared to suppliers’ quotations.
•Work with the Procurement Team and advice from cost perspective on the contract forms as well as support in selection of supplie based on cost analysis.
•Review the filled purchase orders and ensure that the materials a supplies are not issued in excess.
•Reconcile all inventory accounts based on the actual purchases & inventory stock in coordination with the storekeeper and allocate expenses to the respective departments based on their requests.
•Maintain a daily record of inventory purchased for every account through participating in inventory taking and communicate the concerned entity to ensure alignment of the same.
•Record the total monthly purchases for each account and conduct spot checks to ensure that all inventory items purchased & stock levels are in balance with recorded purchases.
•Ensure that no material is issued out from the warehouse without requisition or approval from the respective department head.
•Provide all required costs reports to the concerned entity and assist in preparing the annual budgets.
•Suggest ways to reduce costs, enhance revenues, and improve profits, and communicate the same to the Top Management.
•Identify any forecast overruns and raise it to the Direct Manager to allow corrective actions to be taken in a timely manner.
•Monitor and track multiple project budgets and expenditures as well as work with all concerned stakeholders to carry out reviews, examinations, and comparisons of costs across projects.
•Take part in capital budgeting process, including analytical prioritization and justification process; gather, maintain, analyze and communicate accurate financial data and information
•Maintain and update an accurate database of all costs related information in a timely manner to support better decision making for the Management.
•Prepare reports that cover all cost control related activities for the Direct Manager.
•Perform any other tasks & additional responsibilities as assigned by the Direct Manager.
•Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience in the same or related field.
•Good knowledge & preferably a track record of implementing cost control systems and procedures in a proje.
•Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
•Ability to collect, maintain and analyze data.
•Experience with Accounting systems, POS Systems, and cost and inventory systems.
•Working knowledge of ERP & financial software.
•Proven ability in team environment.
