Responsibilities and Duties
1. Plans, assigns, schedules, and supervises the work of power linesmen, electricians, and helpers engaged in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, apparatus, and appliances; participates in the more difficult work.
2. Trains and instructs subordinates on detailed procedures.
3. Conducts periodic inspections and gives on-site supervision over hazardous or unusual work assignments; assures availability of equipment, materials, and supplies.
4. Estimates the time and material costs required for projected jobs; keeps cost and job records and submits reports; initiates requisitions for supplies, tools, and equipment.
5. Discusses with management officials and makes recommendations on proposed projects.
6. Enforces safety regulations, rules, and working conditions.
7. Recruits and trains personnel in the safe operation of equipment and tools.
1. Diploma, Two-year Electrical, Technical, or related degree.
2. At least 7 - 10 years' experience in industrial Electrical works.
3. Excellent problem-solving skills.
4. Good communication skills, excellent in English.
5. Experience operating hand and power tools, and fault-testing equipment.
6. Vast experience in testing generator, motors, transformers cables and switchgears such as: Megger, HV VLF, winding resistance,…Etc.
7. Vast practical experience in HV, MV and LV systems
8. Practical experience in installation of Joints and Terminations for power cables from 0.4 KV up to 33kv. Certifications and approval from GCC countries is an advantage.
9. Ability to study and read all kind of electrical and control drawin.
10. Experience on installation and commissioning of power, distribution transformers, LV, MV switchgears and VFD panels.
11. Thorough Knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
12. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shift and overnight
13. Have valid driving license.
