The Enterprise Architect will collaborate with business leaders, subject matter experts and IT leadership to help build and optimize a holistic vision of the organization's IT assets and architecture, strategy and development roadmaps while creating the necessary artifacts to properly communicate and implement this vision. The candidate possesses in-depth knowledge of Enterprise Architecture best practices within organizations and has a broad understanding of several business areas within the Organizational ecosystem. Enterprise Architect monitors the current and future needs of the organization and ensures they are being met in a sustainable manner and based on established best practices. designs, negotiates, and implements technical, process and architectural standards as required. The Enterprise Architect will define a high-level Enterprise-wide IT Architecture focusing on the mapping of IT capabilities to business needs.
Understanding business strategy and provide thought leadership with IT and business stakeholders on how this strategy can be delivered by IT.
Defining the current and future state architectures for IT based on this strategy, focusing on areas of the architecture in accordance with business needs.
Leading decision-making on strategic technology choices for key functional capabilities and establishing the architectural definitions which enable these choices to be implemented.
Developing Enterprise Architecture artefacts, including domain and business unit roadmaps, which clearly express the target architecture. These will be used as input for defining target architecture for IT projects.
Provide architectural oversight to activities within the Digital Transformation Strategy.
Producing and maintaining the content of the centrally managed architectural frameworks, including functional, process and technology architectures, ensuring that this content can be used practically to plan, direct, and implement change.
Document the Organization’s as-is architecture at the application, data, and infrastructure levels in the EA repository. Develop, negotiate, and document target IT architecture and impact.
Develop High Level Design documents for major Organization initiatives. The HLD provides an overview of the current and target architecture along with impact at the business, operations, application, data, and infrastructure levels.
Engaging with colleagues across Group IT and the business to communicate and promote the IT strategy and target architecture, and the use of the artefacts which underpin it.
As and when required, leading teams of architects to focus on high priority areas for the organization.
Keep the Business Capability Map up to date. Communicate with different business leaders about all relevant capabilities, the IT capabiliti that support each capability. Produce different heatmaps and impact analysis artifacts.
Use previous experience of enterprise application integration to advise on target integration architecture for major initiatives.
Advise on the set of services that Enterprise Architecture provides to the organization. Design EA department processes in line with TOGAF and advice on associated KPIs.
Professional experience of working with at least one EA repository e.g. IBM System Architect, Orbus iServer, Troux, Abacus, Alfabet, Mega etc.
Experience of creating architecture artifacts with business and IT application views. Experience of creating High Level designs for major organizational initiatives.
Sound understanding of TOGAF and experience of executing ADM cycles.
15+ years Information Technology experience designing and implementing enterprise IT solutions for organizations. Background in software development with a proven track record of deliveri enterprise solutions.
Diverse experience as an enterprise architect in different business areas in at least one financial institution.
Experience with creating and maintaining business capability models for organizations.
Participated in creati the Digital Transformation Strategy for an Organization as Enterprise Architect.
Working experience with different Architecture frameworks e.g. TOGAF, BIAN, OAGiS etc.
Experience working in highly complex environments.
Excellent interpersonal skills and working experience managing key stakeholder expectations.
A record of strong performance and be a trusted professional with a high level of credibility.
