The FF&E professional is responsible for the selection, procurement, and management of furniture, fixtures, and equipment for various projects, particularly in industries such as hospitality, residential, commercial, or healthcare. This role ensures that the FF&E elements align with the design vision, budget, and timeline while meeting quality and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination & Planning:
Work closely with interior designers, architects, and clients to determine FF&E requirements and specifications.
Assist in creating FF&E budgets, timelines, and schedules.
Collaborate with design teams to ensure the correct FF&E is selected to meet the aesthetic, functional, and regulatory needs of the project.
Procurement Management:
Research and source furniture, fixtures, and equipment from suppliers and manufacturers.
Obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and place orders for the necessary items.
Ensure all FF&E products meet quality, durability, and compliance standards.
Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for timely delivery of FF&E items.
Budget & Cost Management:
Track FF&E costs and ensure that the project stays within budget.
Provide cost estimates and updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency throughout the procurement process.
Monitor potential changes to costs based on market conditions and supplier adjustments.
Logistics & Delivery Management:
Coordinate logistics for the transportation, delivery, and installation of FF&E products.
Monitor the delivery schedule and resolve any issues related to damaged or delayed items.
Ensure that the FF&E installation is done in line with the project timeline.
Quality Control & Compliance:
Inspect delivered items to ensure that they meet specifications and quality standards.
Ensure that all FF&E products comply with relevant industry codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Maintain doentation for warranty and maintenance purposes.
Communication & Reporting:
Serve as the point of contact between clients, vendors, and internal teams for all FF&E-related matters.
Prepare and deliver regular updates on the status of FF&E procurement and installation.
Resolve any issues or concerns from clients or stakeholders regarding FF&E.
Post-Installation Support:
Oversee the final inspection and acceptance of FF&E products after installation.
Address any post-installation issues, including repairs or replacements.
