Job Summary:
The FD will operate at both a strategic and functional level. Strategically there will be acquisitions, disposals and the preparation of five-year plans. Investment may require funding requirements from external banks and investors. Functionally the role oversees all Accounting Function activities and ensures the company (and its subsidiaries inside UAE, UK and other Jurisdictions) produce accurate financial and management accounts which comply with accounting standards, tax and legal requirements.

Education: CA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA (any one)
Experience:
•Extensive senior level accountancy experience
•Candidate working in Family offices will be preferred

•Direct and control company’s accounting staff to carry out their duties to the required standard
•Preparation of Strategic Business Plans including Cashflow forecasts and commentary
•Developing relationships with third party finance providers, including reporting requirements and compliance
•Creating and maintaining transfer pricing agreements between related companies
•Provide financial controls for property portfolio
•Implementing reporting requirements for all group companies
•Ensuring all group companies are compliant with tax and statutory regulations
•Developing relationships with finance partners including Banks, Insurers and Legal advisors
•Supporting the Chairman on finance, and other matters, as required
•Work with subsidiary Directors to understand businesses, method of operating and any support which may be needed from Company
•Ability to undertake non-finance related projects
•Proactivity regarding operational and financial improvements
•Ability to liaise effectively with operational and IT departments
•Interface with auditors and tax advisors
•Ensure companies have effective internal controls
•Be an effective contributor at Board and Management Meetings
