Job Description

Responsible for the financial health of the company and /or related organizations.
Typical duties include reviewing financial reports, monitoring accounts, preparing financial forecasts, developing strategies based on financial research, and overseeing the payroll function . Manage and actively participate in the accounting cycle to ensure that processes are timely, accurate, efficient, consistent and confidential. Finance managers also investigate ways to improve profitability and analyze markets for business opportunities, such as expansion, mergers, and acquisitions, while guiding senior executives in making sound business decisions in the long and short term.


Candidate Requirements

Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
Collate, prepare and interpret reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries and financial statements
Reconciliation of accounts and in development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures and controls
Be responsible for hierarchy and scalability in chart of accounts and accuracy in the general ledger and financial statements and responsible for classification and booking of all transactions
Manage budgets : Control income, cash flow and expenditure
Arrange new sources of finance for a company's debt facilities
Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company
Research and report on factors influencing business performance
Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports
Complete external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
Research and analyze financial reports and market trends
Develop relationships with external advisors, e.g. solicitors and banks
Avoid legal challenges by complying with legal requirements
Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings
Present potential scenarios and outcomes to management team
