The core purpose of the role is to act as finance partner to the relevant business head, which would be primarily done through:
- Providing analytical support to the business head in achieving the business objectives.
- Financial planning, Budgeting, and analysis to support the executive management in decision making.
The individual will be an active member of business leadership team. The successful candidate will be strategic, analytical, and have the demonstrated ability to effectively manage the finances of a high-growth business by acting as finance partner for the business head and executive management.
Duties & Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Operational reporting:
- Overall ownership of period operational reports.
- Ensure accuracy of all reports and timeliness in reporting.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of operational databases and other resources in the system.
- Update existing reports and develop new reports in response to business requirements.
Financial Planning & Analysis / Strategy:
- Preparation and finalization of Budget by gathering and analyzing operational and financial information, market intelligence, economic forecasts, and other key information.
- Assist in developing the annual and long term strategy and business plans.
- Analyzing financial data, spotting trends and developing forecasts / reforecasts.
- Preparation of monthly financial reports and other management reports.
- Working closely with operations team to identify and execute areas of improvement including automation of processes.
- Analytical support in planning and execution of large projects.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of periodic reports circulated to Executive Management.
- Periodic reporting of business KPIs to the executive management.
- Liaise with support functions for to ensure effective functioning of the division.
- Ensure accuracy and usefulness of IT reports; highlight any opportunities for improvement.
- Analytical support in tend pricing
- Analytical support for finalizing customer contracts and ensuring that billing, rebat, refunds etc. are in line with the agreed terms of the contract.
Management Support:
- Conduct periodic business review meetings with Executive Management for monitoring of business performance including week review meetings, monthly performance meetings, etc.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and insightful reports that help management in decision making and devising action plans.
- Conceptualize, develop and refine requirements for capital investments and non-routine operating expenditures including oversee preparation of proposals to seek necessary approvals.
- Carry out root cause analysis of pain areas, suggest corrective actions and help in implementation.
- Provide overall support to Divisional He in achievement of the division’s objectives.
- Provide support in preparation for board meetings and internal business review meetings.
- Conceptualize, develop and refine requirements for capital investments and non-routine operating expenditures; and oversee preparation of proposals to seek necessary approvals.
- Prepare reports and presentations to support management.
- Analyze operational and financial performance of the division and identify potential areas for improvement to meet the budgeted performance.
- Track and monitor market developments and maintain updated information on competitive landscape, ongoing and upcoming projects etc.
- Assist Divisional He in ensuring smooth operations in the division by timely reporting of any issues, concerns or suggestions regarding operations, resource availability and utilization.
- Track and monitor the capabilities of assets, manpower and other resources in order to match it with the project specific requirements and ensure that the requirements are met. Provide support in key strategic organizational / divisional initiatives.
Business Development / M&A
- Identification of new business growth opportunities
- Assist in conducting feasibility studies for new business development or growth opportunities both organic and in-organic
- Preparation of business case to support the approval of new business ideas.
- Detailed evaluation of acquisition targets and making recommendations to the management
