Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and driven Freelance Automotive Service Sales & Marketing Executive with hands-on experience as a bodyshop estimator and strong connections within the insurance industry. This role is ideal for someone who understands both the technical aspects of bodyshop repairs and has the ability to generate sales by partnering with insurance companies. As a commission-based role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by leveraging your estimating expertise and insurance contacts to secure repair contracts and expand the client base.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Generation: Drive sales for bodyshop services (collision repair, painting, dent removal, etc.) through your network of insurance company contacts, fleet managers, and individual vehicle owners.
Estimating: Use your expertise in bodyshop estimating to accurately assess damage, prepare repair cost estimates, and communicate effectively with both clients and insurance adjusters.
Insurance Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with insurance companies to secure referrals and repair contracts for vehicles covered under insurance claims.
Commission-Based Sales: Operate on a commission-only basis, earning income from the repair contracts and sales you secure.
Lead Generation: Identify and pursue opportunities for bodyshop repair services through insurance claims, fleet operators, and high-volume clients in need of repair services.
Negotiation & Contracts: Negotiate contracts with insurance companies, ensuring that pricing and terms align with both the service provider and the insurer.
Marketing & Promotion: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote bodyshop services through digital platforms, email campaigns, and in-person meetings with insurance companies and other stakeholders.
Customer Relationship Management: Act as a liaison between the customer, insurance companies, and the bodyshop to ensure repairs are completed to satisfaction and in a timely manner.
Service Upselling: Identify opportunities to upsell additional services, such as cosmetic repairs, vehicle detailing, or paint protection.
Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on sales activities, ensuring that sales targets are met and relationships with insurance companies are maintained.
Requirements:
Estimator Experience: Strong experience as a bodyshop estimator, with the ability to accurately assess damage and provide detailed repair estimates.
Industry Contacts: Established relationships with insurance companies and claims adjusters, or a deep understanding of insurance processes related to automotive repair claims.
Sales Experience: Proven ability to generate sales in a commission-based role, preferably within the automotive or bodyshop repair sector.
Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills for securing favorable terms and contracts with insurance companies and other partners.
Marketing Knowledge: Ability to create and execute marketing strategies to promote bodyshop services to insurance companies and vehicle owners.
Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of bodyshop repair processes, including collision repair, painting, dent removal, and related services.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to engage with insurance companies, customers, and bodyshop teams, ensuring clear and effective interactions.
Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently, manage your own schedule, and generate leads and business without fixed salary support.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an automotive bodyshop estimator.
Solid understanding of the insurance claims process for automotive repairs, with experience working directly with insurance companies.
Experience in sales and marketing within the automotive bodyshop or collision repair sector.
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Audatex, CCC, Mitchell) and CRM platforms.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both insurance adjusters and repair shop teams.
Compensation:
Commission-Based Pay: This is a commission-only role, with earnings directly tied to the volume of repair contracts and sales you bring in. You will receive a percentage of each sale or contract, providing significant earning potential based on your performance.
