A General Manager to start-up, maintain, and grow Colonial Chemical’s new Saudi Arabia-based manufacturing and sales operation, Colonial Chemical M.E. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence across the organization. Your primary goal will be to increase our organization's productivity, efficiency, and profitability. You will advise the board on key operational insights as well as provide coaching to employees. An eligible candidate should also be a professional who will establish, grow, and manage business growth through a self-driven, entrepreneurial, commercial, and analytical mindset.
Responsibilities
• Establish the business in KSA including recruitment of the Colonial Chemical M.E. team and their development.
• Conduct interviews; select competent personnel; train new and existing employees; and coach employees to perform.
• Drive all new business generation with a view to growing the company in the region.
• Produce annual operation forecasting report and strategy.
• Enforce productivity, quality, safety and cost efficiency through the implementation of effective, measurable initiatives and controls.
• Implement a positive and determined approach to researching and analyzing new business opportunities.
• Present operational strategy recommendations to the management board based on your market research.
• Responsible for overall profitability of the Middle Eastern business.
• Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive and implement corrective action a rewards.
• Plan and organize daily activities related to production and operations.
• Measures productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.
• Coordinates with other support departments such as human resources, finance, and logistics to ensure successful production operations.
• Prepare strategic plans, develop Measurable Objectives, launch initiatives, conduct reviews and implement improvement to plans.
• Forecast resource requirements; prepare annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiate corrective actions.
• To lead business development activities, you will hire a salesperson, help develop industry contacts, meet new clients, promote company, conduct presentations, create opportunities.
• Coordinates with marketing and sales departments to determine pricing, timing, and number of sales promotions, and products to be sold.
• Assists with, or prepares and updates, organizations operations manual and policies.
• Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
• Fluent in English and Arabic
• 15 years of Chemical Plant experience and 3 - 5 years of executive experience
• BS / BA in Management, Operations, Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, or a related field from a reputable university
• Analytical ability, Strategic thinking, ability to achieve business results while working in a multi-cultural environment
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Estimation experience, knowledge of contracts and Negotiating skills.
Salary
• SAR 450,000

Predominantly KSA and UAE, as well as entire Middle East
