Job Position: HDPE WELDING SUPERVISOR
Job Summary
To assist and support Construction Superintende Manager in the execution of an assigned project (s), ensuring Health and Safety and Quality compliance. In addition, the position will entail management crew of foremen in relation to a specific discipline. Material control and event management are also critical factors within this role.

Main Responsibilities:
A key responsibility for this position would be the supervision of HDPE pipe welding which will involve the following:
*Supervising assigned wo aligned with HDPE piping to meet operational targets.
*Ensuring the usage of appropriate measuring equipment to verify dimensions of the material provided against drawings, interpret components and assembly drawings, and use allocated resources and personnel to achieve set engineering (SMPP) construction projects.
*Responsible for usage, service and maintenance (including conditions-based) of engineering operational maintenance primary equipment like HDPE Machines, Mobile Machines, Cranes etc.
*Inspect work to maintain specified standards and quality, as well as managing the performance of subordinates.
*Supervise weld HDPE pipe used in line with the parameters of the HDPE machine to make implement proper procedure(s) for butt and electrofusion weld of HDPE pipe.
*Supervise the dealing of precision equipment in process moulding or extrusion moulding technology.
The inbent will assume responsibility for Safety, Health, Safety, Environment and Housekeeping which will inter alia entail the following:
*Ensuring that work is performed in accordance with relevant safe working procedures.
*Reporting any dangerous conditio accidents immediately as per the SHE system .
*Using and ensuring the usage of the relevant PPE required in accordance with the SHE system
Compliance with the highest level of safety during all stages of project execution to avoid any type of incidents and or accidents.
*Taking reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
*Identifying, formulating and implementing “on the job” training programs for the workforce under his responsibility.
*Reporting inciden & identifying SHE conditions and work practices that are dangerous or could lead to pollution & report immediately as per the SHE System requirement.
Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
The successful candidate will possess a Thermoplastic Welding Competency Certificate or related qualification with Butt and Electrofusion Welding. will have excellent Leadership and Supervisor skills, and Basic Computer Literacy. Furthermore must be able to interpret drawings, specificatio drawin etc. Must be able to understand and implement safe working practices.
