Job Summary:
Reporting to the Assistant HR Manager, the Human Resource Officer is responsible for providing support in all human resource functions, which include recruitment, staffing, performance monitoring and employee counseling. He provides quality advice and assistance to supervisors and staff. This will include information on training needs and opportunities, job descriptions, performance reviews and personnel policies of AKH. Further, he actively supports all activities in the HR administration by ensuring that all documents are processed accurately and timely and providing information on time to all end-users in order to make effective decisions.
1. Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure that accurate job descriptions are in place
Assists in the recruitment activities by receiving, screening and filing application letters, scheduling and organizing interviews and other recruitment-related activities.
Coordinate staff recruitment and selection process in order to ensure a timely organized and comprehensive procedure is used to hire staff
Prepare, develop and implement procedures and policies on general HR administration
Monitor staff performance and attendance activities
Monitor and track daily attendance, leave and ticket accruals and ensure that data are correct at any given time.
Investigate and understand causes for staff absences and late-coming
Recommend solutions to resolve chronic attendance difficulties
Encodes data of new hires in the Human Resource Information System
Provide basic counselling to staff having performance related obstacles
Keeps proper filing and record of all associate documents and HR documents for easy retrieval
Assists in conceptualizing and organizing associate activities and programs
2. General Responsibilities:
Interface with counterparts and build relationships with them.
Provide support to supervisors and staff to develop the skills and capabilities
Provide advice and assistance with writing job descriptions
Provide advice and assistance when conducting staff performance evaluations
Provide advice and assistance in developing human resource plans
Provide advice and recommendations on disciplinary actions
Provide advice and assistance to supervisors on staff recruitment
Provide advice and assistance to staff and management on pay and benefits systems
Participate in applicant interviews
Conduct exit interviews
Promote workplace safety
Research and monitor human resource systems in other organizations within the region
3. Occasional Responsibilities:
Attend management meetings to provide information, when necessary
Accepts and completes additional duties as assigned by the Human Resources Manager.

Ensure that all aspects of AKH personnel, administration, training, and HR policies and practices are in line with Best Practices in the hospitality industry, and strictly conform and comply with the Government of Qatar Labour and Employment Laws, Rules and Regulations
