HVAC Technician
Perform skilled mechanical maintenance duties in the inspection, repair, installation and alteration of District heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems and related equipment and facilities; perform Preventive maintenance and routine servicing of equipment.
1. Install, maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for both commercial and residential customers. Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical and electrical components of these systems.
2. Travel to job sites in service area, and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer.
3. Be available to work nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers.
4. Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment.
5. Maintain and submit monthly mileage log forms.
6. Repair or replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controls, including thermostats, automatic switches, fan controls, damper motors, louvers, relays, filters, controls, belts, compressors, heat exchangers, high limit controls, pressure controls, safety valves, and automatic gas valves.
7. Perform skilled electrical maintenance work in the repair, installation and alteration of HVAC equipment, components, timers, motors and wiring systems as needed; connect motors to control panels.
8. Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies.
9. Identify and report to owner potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, and additional services).
10. Familiar with all HVAC equipment (AHU, FCA, AC Package Unit, split unit, )
