Job Description

Position Overview:
The Junior Financial Analyst will support the finance team by developing reporting, analyzing and managing the company's financial data. This role will involve designing automated reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission. This role will also support head of FP&A with financial forecasting, variance analysis, budgeting, and other financial reporting tasks to help guide business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting: Prepare regular and ad hoc financial reports and presentations for senior management. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Financial Modeling: Creating and updating financial models to project business performance, cash flows, and CAPEX for standalone operating entities and the entire Group.
- Financial Analysis: Assist in analysing competitors' and partners' financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Help prepare budgets and forecasts by gathering relevant financial data, performing variance analysis, and collaborating with other departments.
- Variance Analysis: Analyse budget vs. actual performance, identifying key drivers of variances.
Support Senior Analysts: Support senior financial analysts and managers in ad-hoc analyses, special projects, and strategic initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Query, Power BI, or other BI tools. Experience with SQL databases is desirable.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, presenting financial information clearly and concisely. Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related field (e.g., internships, co-op programs).
- Certifications: Pursuing or holding relevant certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or similar is a plus. Programming skills is a plus.
- Familiarity with Financial Markets: Basic understanding of financial markets, investment instruments, and economic indicators.
