Kitchen Helper
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to assist our kitchen staff in preparing and serving food. The Kitchen Helper will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the kitchen, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring that all kitchen equipment is in good working order.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize dishes, cookware, and utensils
- Clean and sanitize food preparation work stations
- Assist in the food preparation process by cutting, chopping, slicing, and washing vegetables, meats, and other ingredients
- Assist with inventory management, including monitoring levels and alerting management when supplies need to be replenished
- Perform other duties as assigned, such as setting tables, assisting with food service, or washing floors and walls
Requirements & Skills:
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and move quickly around the kitchen
- Good communication skills and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully
- Food Handler Certification is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Understanding of general kitchen operations and food storage guidelines
