As an International Trade Lawyer, you will play a crucial role in providing legal guidance and support to our organization and clients engaged in global commerce. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of international trade laws, regulations, and agreements, with the ability to navigate complex legal landscapes and ensure compliance with international trade standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Legal Advisory Services: Provide expert legal advice on international trade matters, including import and export regulations, trade agreements, sanctions, and customs laws.
2. Compliance Management: Ensure the organization's compliance with international trade laws and regulations by developing and implementing effective compliance programs and procedures.
3. Contract Review and Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate international trade agreements, contracts, and other legal doents to protect the interests of the organization and its clients.
4. Dispute Resolution: Handle international trade disputes and participate in dispute resolution mechanisms, such as arbitration and litigation, to achieve favorable outcomes for the organization.
5. Policy Analysis: Stay abreast of changes in international trade laws and regulations, and analyze their potential impact on the organization's operations. Provide recommendations for adjustments to policies and procedures accordingly.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including business units, regulatory affairs, and compliance teams, to ensure a cohesive and compliant approach to international trade activities.
7. Training and Education: Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on international trade laws, compliance requirements, and best practices.
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the bar and in good standing.
