One of the leading Plastic Bag Manufacturing company required for a Maintenance Mechanic for their plant in Muscat, Oman. Candidates who have relevant experience in same industry will be an advantage. Must have knowledge about Extrusion machine maintenance and Bag cutting machine maintenance.
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, and systems within a designated facility.
1. Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
2. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on various types of machinery and equipment.
3. Diagnose mechanical problems and malfunctions, utilizing a variety of tools and diagnostic equipment.
4. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
5. Collaborate with other maintenance team members to prioritize and coordinate maintenance activities.
6. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in mechanical maintenance preferred.
2. Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or similar role, preferably in a plastic manufacturing plant.
3. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
4. Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
