Position Overview:
As a Merchant Acquisition Specialist for our thriving marketplace, you will play a pivotal role in the growth and success of our platform by overseeing the onboarding process for new stores and sellers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that each store is set up for success from the moment they join our marketplace. You will be the main point of contact for new store owners, guiding them through the onboarding process, addressing their queries, and assisting them in optimizing their presence on our platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Onboarding Support:
Act as the primary liaison for new store owners, providing them with comprehensive onboarding guidance and support.
Ensure a smooth and efficient onboarding process by coordinating with internal teams, including customer support, technical teams, and legal, to fulfil all requirements.
Assist store owners in setting up their accounts, creating compelling store profiles, and uploading their products or services.
Training and Education:
Conduct orientation sessions for new store owners to familiarize them with our platform's features, tools, and policies.
Develop and maintain detailed onboarding doentation and training materials for store owners, keeping them up-to-date with any platform changes.
Performance Optimization:
Work closely with store owners to optimize their product listings and enhance the overall presentation of their stores.
Provide insights and advice on best practices for store management, pricing strategies, and product positioning to drive sales and customer engagement.
Issue Resolution:
Act as a first point of contact for store owners regarding any issues or concerns they may encounter during their onboarding journey.
Collaborate with the appropriate internal teams to resolve any technical, operational, or policy-related challenges faced by store owners.
Performance Tracking and Reporting:
Monitor the progress of store onboarding and provide regular updates to the management team on key performance metrics.
Identify opportunities for improvement in the onboarding process and suggest actionable solutions to enhance efficiency and store satisfaction.
Marketplace Advocacy:
Advocate for the success of store owners within the company, representing their interests and needs to relevant stakeholders.
Gather feedback from store owners and relay it to the product and development teams to influence platform enhancements and updates.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience in onboarding, account management, or customer success in an e-commerce or marketplace environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport and maintaining positive relationships with store owners.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think critically and find creative solutions to challenges.
Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, product listing optimization, and marketing strategies is a plus.
Highly organized and detail-oriented to manage multiple onboarding processes simultaneously.
Proficiency in using productivity tools and software for doentation, reporting, and communication.
