Summary:
The CNC Router and Laser Machine Cutting Designer and Operator is responsible for designing and operating CNC router and laser machines to cut, engrave, and fabricate a variety of materials. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC programming and operation, as well as laser cutting and engraving.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and create CNC router and laser machine cutting programs.
Operate CNC router and laser machines to cut, engrave, and fabricate a variety of materials.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Load and unload materials into CNC and laser machines.
Monitor the operation of CNC and laser machines to ensure accuracy and quality.
Perform preventive maintenance on CNC and laser machines.
Troubleshoot CNC and laser machine problems.
Maintain accurate records of production data.
Design and create prototypes of new products.
Work with engineers and designers to develop new product ideas.
Stay up-to-date on the latest CNC and laser cutting technologies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Associate's degree in CNC machining or a related field preferred.
3+ years of experience operating CNC router and laser machines.
Experience with CNC programming and operation.
Experience with laser cutting and engraving.
Strong math and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Design and drafting skills.
