Origen, a leading IT services provider, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer with a primary focus on Cisco networking and certifications, along with a strong consideration for Juniper certifications. Virtualization capabilities, especially with VMware and Nutanix certifications, are also a significant plus. Key Responsibilities:
1. Cisco and Juniper Network Infrastructure Management:
· Design, implement, and maintain robust Cisco and Juniper-based network solutions to ensure reliable connectivity and data transmission for our clients.
· Configure and troubleshoot Cisco and Juniper routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices to optimize network performance and security.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network components and technologies.
2. Network Security and Cybersecurity:
· Implement and manage network security measures, including firewall rules, intrusion detection systems, and access controls, to safeguard our clients' critical data.
· Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends and threats, proactively recommending and implementing security enhancements.
3. Cisco and Juniper Certification Expertise:
· Leverage your comprehensive understanding of Cisco and potential Juniper networking technologies and protocols to support, troubleshoot, and enhance our clients' network environments.
· Utilize your Cisco certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, and CCIE, as well as Juniper certifications (e.g., JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIE), to provide expert-level technical guidance and solutions.
4. Network Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
· Monitor network performance and traffic patterns to identify potential issues and proactively implement solutions for optimal network efficiency.
· Conduct regular network assessments and audits, recommending improvements to enhance network reliability and performance.
5. Network Upgrades and Expansion:
· Plan and execute network upgrades, expansions, and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption and downtime for our clients' operations.
· Collaborate with project teams to assess network requirements and implement scalable solutions to support business growth.
6. Virtualization Capabilities (A Plus):
· Possess expertise in virtualization technologies, especially VMware and Nutanix, to contribute to the design and management of virtualized environments.
7. Technical Doentation and Reporting:
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date doentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures for reference and knowledge sharing.
· Generate detailed reports on network performance, security vulnerabilities, and recommended actions for continuous improvement.
8. Collaboration and Client Interaction:
· Work closely with our clients to understand their networking needs and provide tailored solutions that align with their business goals.
· Collaborate with internal teams to address client inquiries, resolve issues, and deliver exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· Minimum of 5-6 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, with a primary focus on Cisco technologies.
· Cisco certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, and CCIE, are mandatory.
· Additional Juniper certifications (e.g., JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIE) are a significant plus.
· Experience or willingness to pursue VMware and Nutanix certifications is highly desirable.
· Strong proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco and Juniper routers, switches, firewalls, and related networking devices.
· Experience with network security protocols, firewall management, and cybersecurity best practices.
