Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Expert with a strong background in FortiGate firewalls and VLANs to join our team. As a Network Expert, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing our network infrastructure, ensuring its stability, security, and optimal performance.
Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and deploy FortiGate firewalls to protect our network against external threats and vulnerabilities.
- Create, manage, and troubleshoot VLANs to segment our network and optimize traffic flow.
- Perform regular network monitoring, analysis, and performance tuning to identify and resolve network issues promptly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions that align with business requirements.
- Conduct network assessments, audits, and security reviews to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend necessary enhancements.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to network security and FortiGate firewalls.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network administration and engineering.
- Proven expertise in configuring and managing FortiGate firewalls, including policy creation, VPN setup, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of VLAN concepts, including VLAN tagging, trunking, and inter-VLAN routing.
- In-depth knowledge of T, routing protocols (such as OSPF, BGP), and network security principles.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and protocols (e.g., SNMP, NetFlow) to ensure network performance and availability.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE, CCNA, CCNP) would be an advantage.
