Position Summary:
Q-Trans Enterprises is seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional culinary skills, a passion for crafting high-quality baked goods, and the ability to innovate and develop new recipes. The Pastry Chef will oversee the preparation of a variety of desserts, pastries, and other baked goods, ensuring excellence in quality, taste, and presentation. This role involves managing the pastry kitchen operations, maintaining hygiene standards, and leading a team to achieve culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
•Prepare and bake a variety of breads, cakes, pastries, desserts, and Yemeni specialties like sabaya and mutabbaq, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
•Innovate new recipes and flavors, adjusting ingredients to align with customer preferences and trends.
•Manage daily production schedules to ensure timely preparation and quality standards.
•Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and refresh the bakery menu with seasonal and market-driven offerings.
•Monitor inventory levels, maintain accurate records, and ensure proper storage and freshness of ingredients.
•Supervise and train bakery staff, fostering a positive, efficient, and collaborative work environment.
•Maintain high standards for taste, texture, and presentation of baked goods.
•Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and cleanliness in the bakery kitchen.
•Inspect kitchen equipment regularly and report maintenance needs.
•Address special customer orders, dietary requirements, and feedback, ensuring excellent service.
•Oversee timely delivery of bakery orders to meet customer expectations.
Qualifications:
•Culinary diploma or equivalent training in pastry arts preferred.
•A minimum of 2 years of experience in a pastry and bakery role.
•Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role.
•Formal training or certification in baking and pastry arts is an advantage.
•A deep understanding of baking techniques, pastry preparation, and intricate dessert presentation.
•Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
