Job Purpose:
You will be responsible for the performance of our grocery, beverage, paper, packaging categories. You will propose strategy, set priorities, and manage the execution of category road maps to deliver on flavor and quality, financial, food safety, and Food with Integrity goals for these categories. A strong leader in this role is well-versed in data-driven decision-making, financial analysis, negotiation, and project management. You are emotionally intelligent with excellent oral and written communication skills and have a demonstrated ability to coach and develop team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Efficiently execute simple to complex RFP Events within the assigned commodities. Manage simple to complex supplier relationships. Monitor supplier performance against agreed upon services and terms. Purchase and control of all product lin within delegated scope. Negotiate best pricing and value-added business processes and services with suppliers. Resolve customer problems promptly with suppliers. Act as buyer when necessary.
Collaborate on cross-functional projects for menu innovation and lead in the development of win-win solutions to meet business needs.
Interpret spend data for simple to complex commodities to identify and recommend sourcing opportunities for optimal purchasing leverage. Identify and recommend new opportunities for cost savings within the assigned scope of responsibility. Actively seek creative ideas and procedures from outside sources to provide the “Best of Class” purchasing experience for the end user.
Maintain all documentation in compliance with “Best Practices” and Internal Audit procedures of quotes, supplier profiles, cost savings documentation, receipts, reports, etc. Maintain knowledge of all applicable regulations governing purchases and contracts within areas of responsibility.
