Setting and Reporting:
The Regional Director positions offer the flexibility to work from our Dubai and China offices, respectively. report directly to the Secretary-General.
Responsibilities:
-Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans to expand UECN's influence and operations in the Middle East and Asia.
-Manage and inspire regional teams, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance, similar to the supportive environment provided to our interns.
-Engage with key regional stakeholders, including government entities, business partners, and local communities, to foster partnerships that align with UECN's mission.
-Oversee financial planning, operational management, and program development, ensuring alignment with our global strategy and values.
-Serve as UECN's ambassador in the region, representing the organization at high-level meetings, forums, and public events.
Competencies:
-Leadership: Proven ability to lead diverse teams and drive strategic initiatives.
-Strategic Vision: Strong capacity for strategic thinking and planning, with a focus on long-term growth and sustainability.
-Communication: Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English and, for the China office, Chinese. Ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
-Cultural Sensitivity: Deep understanding of and respect for cultural nuances, facilitating effective operations across different regions.
Qualifications:
-A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in leadership roles, preferably with experience in international settings or organizations.
-Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field. Additional languages are a plus.
-Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic plans, managing teams, and fostering stakeholder relationships.
-Familiarity with the economic, political, and social contexts of the Middle East or Asia, depending on the office of application.
