Role Description
We are looking for a BMS estimation engineer to join our team and help us deliver high-quality projects in building automation systems. You will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, proposals, and technical doents for BMS projects involving Schneider and Honeywell products and solutions.
Responsibilities:
Review project specifications, drawings, and tender doents to understand the scope of work and technical requirements for BMS projects
Perform site surveys and liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to gather relevant information and clarify project details
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, including material, labor, and overhead costs, using estimation software and tools
Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals, including scope of work, bill of quantities, technical data sheets, compliance statements, and deviations
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive prices and terms
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and designers to ensure alignment of project specifications, design, and budget
Provide technical support and guidance to project teams during project execution
Monitor and update project costs and schedules to ensure project profitability and timely delivery
Maintain and update estimation records and databases
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in electrical, mechanical, or control engineering
Minimum 4 years of experience in BMS estimation, preferably with Schneider and Honeywell products and solutions
Knowledge of BMS standards, codes, and best practices
Proficient in estimation software and tools
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and accuracy
Strong cost management skills
Analytical skills to evaluate data and make recommendations
Experience in cost control and managing expenses
Excellent communication skills to discuss project details with clients and stakeholders
Pay scale: 9000 AED per month
