The senior accountant manages the financial department by leading daily accounting tasks, managing inventory, preparing financial statements and reporting.
• Ensure ZERO variance between system stocks and physical stocks.
• Follow perpetual inventory verification process.
• Post stock journals for all production items.
• Highlight slow moving stocks on regular intervals.
• Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
• Manage all other accounting and reporting.
• Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions of daily deliveries and shipments to update inventory.
• Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analysing account information.
• Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
• Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
• Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements and the UAE law.
• 5 years + experience as a senior inventory accountant.
• Excellent organization abilities.
• Leadership skills.
• Great attention to detail.
• Good with numbers and an analytical acumen.
• Complete understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and Tally.
• CA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA is mandatory.
