In order to strengthen our technical service team the company is looking to hire an experienced service engineer for execution of on site service work including breakdowns and scheduled drydocks for marine waterjets. Work will be carried out onboard vessels in UAE and occassionally in surrounding countries. The succesfull candidate will be expected to coordinate the planning process with the client, coordinate the purchase process of spare parts and organize onsite support at shipyard or vessel. Under normal circumstances technicians will be provided by client but the site engineer should be ready, willing and able to carry out hands on repair work if required. It should be understood that there are frequent time pressures related to having the vessel re-enter service which means that succesful candidate should be willing to travel on a moments notice and work at odd hours. Most of the work will be mechanical in nature but a good understanding is also required of electrical control systems. Full training and certification will be provided for by the company. A candidate with experience on waterjets a marine propulsion systems is preferred.
