The Site Technician under general supervision, performs routine inspection monitoring tasks to confirm if proper construction supervision is being performed by others and that the approved methods statements are being followed.
Inspects various facets of work on the construction site and performs continuous surveillance of assigned construction activities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications. Document non-conformance and may participate in determining appropriate resolution.
Conducts inspections to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications; and if the construction supervision responsibilities (of others) are being followed.
Provides general inspection on all construction tasks to ensure professional workmanship.
Identifies to the Construction Manager a Assistant Construction Manager the need for additional testing or repeat testing as required.
Participates in the development of quality control reports and procedures.
Participates in development of job safety practices and may conduct toolbox meetings.
May support and review the Contractor’s request for payment for administrative compliance.
Maintains daily site diary.
Assists with review of interim progress payments as required.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
