We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for both continental breakfast and Asian cuisine, Indo Chinese. He will ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen during morning break fast, uphold high standards of food quality, and contribute to menu development.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
Take a lead role in the preparation of both continental and Asian dishes, with a focus on Chinese cuisine.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Demonstrate creativity and flexibility in adapting dishes to meet the preferences and dietary restrictions of guests.
Provide leadership and support to kitchen team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Assist in cost control measures, including portion control, waste reduction, and inventory management.
Stay updated on current culinary trends and techniques, continually seeking opportunities for professional development.
Qualifications:
2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire kitchen staff.
Culinary degree or certification from a recognized culinary institution preferred, but not required.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
