Job Overview:
Design and Engineering for Sheet Metal Enclosure / Panel ( WHCP ) Fabrication. Managing shop drawings including 3D modeling, GA, Detail drawings, BOM and other supporting doents required for project.
Responsibilities and Duties:
•Create 3D models of enclosures, panels, structures and assemblies using Solid Edge / CAD software
•Study project specifications, codes and standards
•Develop and optimize designs for cost, performance and manufacturability
•Assigned project design & engineering tracking and Client co-ordination and reporting
•Monitoring & recording man hours ( planned and actual ) for each project
•Collaborate with manufacturing personnel to ensure designs are suitable for production and meet customer requirements
•Prepare CAD drawings and bills of materials
•Perform design calculations to ensure components meet required specifications where required
•Troubleshoot design and manufacturing issues
•Perform design reviews and provide feedback to draftsman
•Follow all design and engineering standards and guidelines
•Creates part and assembly drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs) to support manufacturing, testing and assembly.
•Material estimation & wastage control based on nesting and CNC plate cutting
