Senior Electrical Engineer in MEP construction background with a 12- 15 years’ experience in UAE.
1. To lead a project from inception through to the construction and handover phase, including preparing drawings, BIM models, specifications, tendersand construction information, monitoring works in production; and dealing with clients, contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers.
2. Oversee a junior Electrical engineer and an Electrical supervisor
3. Advise the project manager of any technical aspects of the Electrical Systems that may affect construction progress, quality and the like.
4. Continually review the Main contractor’s construction schedule during the progress of site works.
5. Prepare and review installation method statements.
6. Review shop drawings against the design [tender] drawings for compliance with the design intent and return them to the project manager with appropriate commen.
7. Responsible for supervising execution of the electrical work within allotted time, productivity, quality and safety standards and in accordance with specifications and drawings.
8. To ensure conveyance of information on drawings to the site Supervisory staff with sufficient clarity to ensure understanding.
9. Ensures controlled materi wastage at site.
10. Responsible for monitoring and analyzing labor attendance and productivity.
11. Prepares look-ahead schedules for electrical works.
12. Assists Project manager in updating progress on site to Planning on a weekly basis.
13. Responsible for coordination and milestones including planning, engineering, construction, commissioning and handover.
14. Problem resolution, in advance of impact on the works and interface with other departments in the Construction Management Team.
15. Able to review and interpret the Electrical specifications along with overall MEP specifications.
16. Assists in the introduction of new methods of construction, equipment, and machinery to improve the construction process.
17. Manages, expedites, and supports consultants’ and construction doent submittals, budgets, and schedules.
18. Operates in an environment conducive of logistic planning and productivity measurement.
19. Coordinates with the MEP Construction manager, Project Manager and Superintende to optimize allocation of manpower, material and equipment for assigned projects.

Responsible for the timely delivery of required site forms including all Material delivery notes (with authorized signature and ID number), Master Labor Card, and Daily Activity Report and other information as required for Projects Control.
21. Undertake general project site observation / inspection of the mechanical services works for adherence to the approved shop drawings and Consultant’s specification, good working practices, the construction schedule and health & safety.
22. Attending project, site progress and any Electrical system related technical meetings as directed by the project manager.
23. Coordinates with procurement team to order material and equipment as needed.
24. Implements the safety rules and regulations are communicated to the workforce and that they are fully enforced
25. Monitors all project team construction works, subcontractor works to ensure their compliance with the job specifications and time plan.

31. Be available to undertake off-site inspections of proposed equipment and materials as may be deemed necessary by the Project Manager.
32. Undertake prior review of Electrical system testing & commissioning methods and schedule
33. On a spot basis Coordina Electrical system final testing and commissioning.
34. Prepare on-going list of Electrical systems defects for remedial action.
35. Undertake final project snagging and prepare list of defects for action.
36. Prepare draft site / engineer’s instructions, relating to the building Electrical systems, as required and issue to the Project Manager.
37. Provide advice to the Project Manager in regard to any Electrical system-related variation costs that may be claimed by the Contractor during the course of the works.
38. Review and comment upon Contractors Operation system-related on and Maintenance manuals
39. Additional duties as required.
Working Experience & Skills & Qualifications
· BEng (Hons) degree in Electrical Engineering
· High level of technical and scientific knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to practical problems.
· Good oral communication skills and confidence in dealing with a range of people, including clients, contractors, designers, and consultants.
· Precise and concise written communication skills
· The ability to work well within a team.
· The ability to work under pressure.
· Organizational skills, such as time and resource planning.
· Work experience in a related field of 12–15 years.
