We are seeking a diligent and organized individual to join our team as a Storekeeper. The Storekeeper will be responsible for efficiently managing the storage and distribution of goods within the organization. The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role requires effective communication and collaboration with various departments to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods, ensuring accuracy in quantity and quality.
Efficiently organize and store products in designated areas, maintaining proper inventory levels.
Issue and dispatch goods based on requisitions and ensure timely delivery to the respective departments.
Keep accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, and any discrepancies.
Implement and maintain a systematic inventory management system to optimize storage space and facilitate easy retrieval of items.
Perform regular stock checks to identify slow-moving or expired items, taking appropriate actions such as restocking or disposal.
Collaborate with procurement and other departments to coordinate the timely replenishment of stock.
Proven experience as a Storekeeper or similar role.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to operate forklifts and other relevant equipment (if applicable).
Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
