This is a major technical role in the design department, and the position is responsible for a range of general technical support duties and assistance to ensure the smooth running of the operation of the company. Glass and Aluminium Industry experience required.
Revi technical specification, BOQ and drawings along with estimation considerations to determine the complete project material requirement.
Material take o calculation till final stage of the project.
Prepare and issue material purchase request (MPR) in accordance with selected suppliers and technical specifications for the particular project.
Ensure maximum utilization of materials available in stock.
Sample request
Preparation of sample boards along with compliance statement and technical submittals for consultant approval.
Raw material optimisation
Preparing Material Approval Sheet for submission
Updating Material submittal schedule as per Client requirement.
Co-ordinating with various departments viz; Projects, Production, Design, Stores, Estimation etc..
Study drawings for works which are not mentioned in drawing but required at the execution stage.
Identify and propose ironmongery special projects.
Releasing of work orders(received from Design) to production with details of materials required for that order.
General
Any other duties as may be agreed from time to time with the Design and Engineering Manager.
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Reports directly to the Design and Engineering Manager
Qualifications
Highest level of personal integrity and standing.
Gradua in Mechanic engineering
Experience
1 – 2 years previous experience in a similar environment desired
Specific Skills
Fast and accurate.
Organised and able to cope with a number of duties simultaneously.
Excellent knowledge in Excel
