1. Responsibility for work safety of drivers and maintenance (using safety shoes and work clothing, etc)
2. Promote safe work activities by conducting safety audits, attending company safety meetings, or meeting with individual staff members and develop this important issue
3. Negotiate and authorize agreements with subcontractors and monitor their fulfilment
4. Co-ordination of all complaints and issues with subcontractors and customers
5. Disposition of maintenance team for necessary services on outside compactors, customer sites, internal and contracted services
6. Control of maintenance doentation
7. Accept customer calls in case of emergencies
8. Develop improvements and propose to the superior manager
9. Strong exchange of information with Sales Manager and other stations
10. Collaborate with other managers or staff members to formulate and implement policies, procedures, or objectives.
11. Monitoring of lifecycle costs of own trucks and equipment
12. Manage activity in the assigned regions
13. Co-ordination with workshops and other external suppliers
14. Petty Cash handling
15. Managing the Yard, Labours, Accommodation
16. Monitoring Trucks (Cleaning, Preventive Maintenance)
17. Monitoring Compactors and Equipment (Cleaning, Media Stickers)
18. General purchasing for company requirements
19. Stock keeping and reporting to accounts
20. Overlooking special projects and adhoc projects.
Skills
Requirements:
Accounting and Bookkeeping Knowledge
Maintenance Knowledge (preferred )
Strong follow up and tracking skills
perfect English and Arabic writing skills
Truck maintenance understanding
Autonomy and Self driving personality
Bachelor's degree in logistics, Accounts, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Previous experience in trucking, transportation, or logistics, with at least 2-5 years in a supervisory or management role.
Knowledge of dispatching software and related systems, as well as the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people, including drivers, customers, suppliers, and internal staff.
Ability to analyze data and metrics, and use insights to develop strategies for improving operations and increasing profitability.
Experience in hiring blue badge, training, and managing staff, with a focus on developing talent and promoting a positive work culture.
Understanding of transportation regulations, safety guidelines, and compliance requirements, and the ability to ensure that all operations are carried out in accordance with these standards.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and find solutions to complex issues.
Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to adjust to changing cirstances and handle unexpected challenges.
