Responsibilities:
Assisting in loading and unloading goods, materials, and products from trucks and containers.
Sorting, stacking, and organizing inventory within the warehouse.
Preparing orders for shipment, including picking, packing, and labeling items.
Using hand trucks, forklifts, or other equipment to move and transport materials within the warehouse.
Keeping the warehouse clean and organized by sweeping, mopping, and performing general maintenance tasks.
Assisting with inventory counts and maintaining accurate records.
Inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness.
Reporting any damaged or defective items to the appropriate personnel.
Collaborating with other team members and supervisors to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the warehouse.
Adhering to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you will need:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Strong physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects, often with the use of appropriate equipment.
Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
The ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse machinery (if required).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
A commitment to safety and the use of personal protective equipment as required.
