Job Summary:
We are seeking an organized and reliable warehouse helper to assist in the day-to-day operations of our warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, preparing shipments, and assisting with inventory control.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with unloading and loading delivery trucks and verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
• Ensure the physical condition of the warehouse by cleaning, organizing, and maintaining general upkeep of equipment and facilities.
• Assist with inventory control by conducting stock counts, maintaining inventory records, and monitoring the inventory levels of materials and supplies.
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks under the guidance of trained personnel and in adherence to safety protocols.
• Receive, store, and distribute supplies, equipment, and materials throughout the warehouse.
• Follow all applicable safety protocols for the handling of hazardous materials, chemicals, and equipment.
• Perform any other warehouse-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Skills and Requirements:
• Proven experience as a warehouse helper or relevant position.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping and inventory management.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Physical stamina to perform the duties required of a warehouse helper, including heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds), standing for extended periods, and operating machinery.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Education and Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent GED.
Physical Requirements:
• The ability to lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• The ability to maintain balance when standing for extended periods.
• The ability to operate machinery or equipment safely.
